Try the Sample Data
Go to Settings β Data Management β Load Sample Data. Explore each section to see how everything works before entering your real data. Clear it when you're ready to start fresh.
Set Your Preferences
Go to Settings β General and choose your currency, date format, theme (light or dark), and default transaction type. These settings apply across the whole app.
Set Up Your Categories
Go to Categories and review the default Expense and Income categories. Add new ones, rename existing ones, or archive those you don't need β categories drive your reports and insights.
Add Your Accounts
Go to Accounts and add your bank accounts and credit cards with their opening balances. The Wallet account is pre-created to track cash on hand β keep it and update its balance.
Configure Payment Methods
Go to Payment Methods and link each method to an account. Once linked, selecting that method automatically debits or credits the correct account β no need to pick the account separately on every transaction.
Set Up Easy Payment Schemes (EPS)
Go to Easy Payment (EPS) for installment plans. Add a purchase once β monthly installment transactions are created automatically. Track outstanding balance, progress, and next due dates at a glance.
Set Up Recurring Bills
Go to Recurring Bills and add fixed monthly costs β rent, subscriptions, utilities, loan repayments. Set the amount, due day, and payment method. Dashboard and notifications will alert you when bills are overdue or due soon. Mark as paid after each payment.
Set Up Scheduled Income
Go to Scheduled Income and add your expected income sources β salary, freelance payments, rental income, dividends. Set the amount, frequency, and which account to credit. Confirm each payment when received to keep your account balances accurate and track confirmed vs expected income over time.
Review Budget & Forecast
Go to Budget & Forecast to get a forward-looking view of your finances. There are two tabs:
6-Month Forecast β projects the next six months using your recurring bills, EPS installment schedule, and a rolling average of your variable expenses from the past 1β3 months (the average automatically adjusts based on how much history you have). The chart shows estimated income vs fixed and variable expenses, with a month-by-month breakdown table and category-level variable cost bars.
Current Month β a live snapshot of this month combining what has already happened with what is still expected. Sections include: Realised Income, Scheduled Income (confirmed vs pending), Realised Expenses, Recurring Bills (paid vs unpaid), EPS Installments (charged vs upcoming), and Projected Variable costs (your category averages minus what you've already spent this month to avoid double-counting). Expand the Payment Method Summary at the bottom to see all figures broken down by each payment method in a single scrollable table.

Track Debts & Loans
Go to Debts & Loans to track money you've lent (receivables) and money you owe (payables). For new transfers, link to an account so your balance updates immediately. For old debts, just add them as tracking-only β no account impact. Record partial payments over time, add further amounts with different accounts or methods, and settle when fully repaid. Overdue debts appear in the notification bell.
Always Back Up Your Data
Go to Settings β Data Management β Export JSON regularly. Your data is securely stored in the cloud and only accessible by you β the export is a local offline backup you can restore anytime.
You're all set!
Start logging your transactions and let CANEXORA do the heavy lifting β reports, forecasts, bill reminders, and debt tracking update automatically.
